The USABMX Gator Nationals were held at Oldsmar BMX in Oldsmar, Florida. This annual event draws people from all over. Some want to get out of the cold up north, others are at full steam, as the SSA Florida Cup Series has been going for a few months. No matter where you call home, you better come with it!
We are super proud of Raul Gomez. He has been through a lot in the past few years. Always an excellent ambassador for our brand, program and team. I am honored to call him my friend. You are a bad-ass Gomer!
The 2014 FLORIDA CUP SERIES is a wrap. This years series was a great success! Since the BMX Civil War ended there has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not the scene in Florida would stay as healthy and competitive as it has been for 30 years. Well, let me tell you, the numbers aren’t what they used to be in their hey-day, but it is still pretty darn good. The moto count for the championship was 144, not surprising considering we were at Sarasota BMX, one of the best tracks in Florida, known for being smooth and dialed. The racing was super competitive, the whole event ran pretty smooth and everyone was having a great time!

The USABMX Dixieland Nationals were held in Powder Springs, GA on April 26th & 27th. As expected, the turn out was very good, with 253 motos on Saturday and just under that on Sunday. To make things even better, USABMX made this years race a PRO SERIES event to boot. It brought an already good event up to great!
The best part of this past weekend was that it didn’t rain! This race has been notorious for precipitating at least one day, making things less than desirable. There was a slight chance on Friday, but we made it through. Then somebody turned on the heater! It got pretty toasty on Saturday for sure. If that is any indication of what summer is going to be like, we are all in trouble.
